Noh Hee-ji Refutes Allegations Of Involvement In Song Ha-yoon’s School Violence 

On April 4th, Noh Hee-ji posted on her SNS, saying “I received a lot of comments and DMs since early in the morning, so I was wondering what they were talking about. I saw people mention, ‘Banpo High School 88 celebrity = Noh Hee-ji’. That’s not me” .

She added, “Moreover, that celebrity was not even from Banpo High School” .

Song Ha-yoon was embroiled in a school violence controversy due to a revelation by JTBC’s “Crime Chief” on April 1st. An informant revealed that Song Ha-yoon slapped him for 90 minutes when he was a middle school student in 2004.

Later, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho caused a stir when he claimed that there was another famous celebrity involved in Song Ha-yoon’s school violence. Since then, netizens have been guessing the identity of that celebrity based on the clues “Banpo High School” and “born in 1988” .

As some people pointed out Noh Hee-ji, the actress cited a comment by Lee Jin-ho, saying “The celebrity was a student from another school at that time” , and denied the allegations.

Noh Hee-ji made her debut in the entertainment industry with a MBC drama in 1993. Later she also appeared in various dramas such as “Jumong” , “Arang and the Magistrate” and “Listen to My Heart” .

In the meantime, Song Ha-yoon’s agency admitted to some parts of the school violence revelation, and the informant continued to release more claims. On April 2nd, a day after the school violence scandal broke out, the agency admitted to Song Ha-yoon’s forced school transfer but denied the school violence allegations raised by JTBC.
