On April 11, developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software launched a significant update for their popular titles, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. This update marks another step in their ongoing commitment to enhancing the player experience by addressing emerging issues and incorporating user feedback since the launch of Season 3. The developers have consistently released minor patches to ensure smoother gameplay and fix critical concerns as they arise.
This latest update also introduces new 24/7 playlists within Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, featuring classic maps like Firing Range, Stakeout, and Nuketown. Additionally, players can now delve into the newly added 3rd-Person Moshpit and Small Map Moshpit, while the Sharpshooter mode has been relocated to the dedicated Party Games section. These exciting updates will be available throughout the weekend and into next week, although the developers have not specified an exact timeline for the next round of playlist changes.
Shortly after the playlist update, another patch was implemented to address gameplay mechanics. While much of the April 11 patch focuses on the Black Ops 6 Zombies map, Warzone players might be disappointed to learn of the temporary removal of the 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath Ammunition for the MX Guardian Shotgun. Raven Software stated this particular ammo type was intended solely for specific triggers; thus, it has been suspended until the issue is resolved.

The update has also introduced a series of bug fixes impacting both titles. For instance, players previously experienced issues when attempting to loot Loadout Crates, which would sometimes leave them stuck. Additionally, there were instances in which Custom Loadouts would reset unexpectedly after matches. The latest revisions aim to alleviate these frustrations and improve overall functionality.
Earlier this week, following player feedback, Raven Software adjusted the ground loot within Call of Duty: Warzone. On April 8, they introduced changes that removed the DM-10 Marksman Rifle, Tsarkov Marksman Rifle, and SVD Sniper Rifle from ground loot and supply boxes, as many players felt these weapons were appearing far too frequently. The update also modified the visibility issues related to the T-800 Terminator Operator Skin, yet players remain vocal about the need for further adjustments.

ZOMBIES IMPROVEMENTS
Maps
- Shattered Veil
- Fixed a bug preventing the Lab Technician from transforming into a Parasite, which hindered the drop of the Floppy Disk vital for the Wonder Weapon Quest.

- Resolved an issue where the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud did not count for the maximum number of melee attacks players could make while mounted on the boss.
- Increased the reasonable cap of melee attacks available to players while mounted.
- Boosted non-critical damage from the Ray Gun Mark II-R by 3.5x.
While utilizing Full Powers during boss encounters can be enjoyable and innovative, our primary goal remains the elimination of exploits and the repair of bugs that may undermine the intended challenge of the Main Quest in the early gameplay days of a new map. This includes adjustments to the Void Sheath that allowed excessive melee damage against bosses. In recognition of player feedback, we are also boosting the maximum melee strikes allowed while mounted.
Furthermore, we analyzed the Ray Gun Mark II-R’s performing attributes, especially in boss battles, leading to a notable enhancement of its non-critical damage output to improve its competitive advantage against other Ray Gun Mark II variants!
