Netizens React to KFC’s New ‘Fried Chicken’ Flavored Toothpaste: “Not an April Fools’ Joke?!”

KFC, the globally recognized fast-food giant, has recently collaborated with the Australian oral care brand Hismile to introduce an unconventional product: a fried chicken-flavored toothpaste. This innovative toothpaste is inspired by KFC’s iconic blend of 11 herbs and spices, allowing fans to enjoy the reminiscent taste of its beloved Original Recipe Chicken while brushing their teeth.

The unveiling of this unique product took place on April 1, 2025, with both brands leveraging social media for announcement purposes. KFC shared images of the toothpaste on Instagram with a catchy tagline:

“Not a prank. It’s here. And it’s Finger Lickin’ Good.”

The timing of the launch on April Fool’s Day led to some skepticism among fans, initially causing many to believe it was a prank. However, once the announcement was confirmed to be authentic, social media platforms buzzed with reactions, particularly on X (formerly Twitter).

On April 7, 2025, Daily Loud, an account on X, shared the announcement which prompted users to express their disbelief, with one netizen tweeting:

“Not April Fools?!”

The responses varied: while some enthusiasts were eager to try this novel toothpaste, others voiced concerns about its flavors.

“Ain’t no way someone will brush his teeth with that,” remarked an X user.

“This is what y’all call throwing spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks,” another user commented.

“Teeth licking good,” chimed in a netizen.

The quirky concept inspired even more humorous takes, such as:

“KFC said mint is mid,”wrote one user.

“KFC really out here trying to start breakfast with drumstick vibes—brushing your teeth just got extra crispy,”added another user.

Exploring KFC’s Fried Chicken-Flavored Toothpaste

Launched as a limited-edition item, KFC’s fried chicken-flavored toothpaste is available while supplies last at a price of $13 for a 60g pack on Hismile’s online store. Promising the taste of KFC fried chicken, it also claims to leave users with a refreshed mouth.

According to Food & Wine, the brand’s press release stated:

“Like biting into a hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe Chicken, this toothpaste is irresistible, coating your teeth in flavor while leaving your mouth feeling fresh and clean.”

Koban Jones, Hismile’s marketing manager, reflected on the product’s origins, stating:
