Following SM with “GOT the beat” , JYP Entertainment is suspected of forming their own female “super group”
On December 8, a topic titled “Trademark rights recently registered by JYP” was published on the Korean forum “theqoo” . The topic also includes photos of JYP’s applications for trademark rights of the name “TWINZY” , drawing attention.

According to the author of this topic, TWINZY may be JYP’s plan for a “super group” , as the name is likely based on girl groups under JYP Entertainment – namely TW(ICE), I(TZY), N(MIXX) and (Ni)ZI(U.
If true, this will be K-pop next highly-anticipated “supergroup” , following SM Entertainment’s “Girls On Top” and its sub-unit “GOT the beat” , which includes BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Winter and Karina.
Below are some comments from netizens:
- I think the project will be fun
- It’s “zy” not “zi” , so NiziU will probably not participate. I think TWINZY is TWI(CE), N(MIXX), and (IT)ZY.
- If this is real, it will be hilarious
- This is similar to GOT the beat
- I hope JYP choose the right song if this super group is to actually come true
- I don’t think it’s a super group. It sounds more like a 2-member sub-unit for ITZY
