Netflix Releases Character Introduction Video for Upcoming Drama Series ‘Karma’

On March 29, 2025, Netflix Korea unveiled an intriguing character introduction video for its anticipated thriller series, Karma, via its official YouTube channel. This visually captivating video, lasting two minutes and six seconds, introduces six characters whose destinies are intricately linked by unfortunate circumstances. Directed by Lee II-hyeong and penned by Choi Hee-sun, the drama is set to premiere on April 4, 2025.

The video begins with the character Jung-min standing isolated in a shadowy alley, signaling that he has experienced something traumatic. As the story unfolds, Joo-yeon grapples with the echoes of her past, drawing her into a web of complex relationships. Throughout her struggles, Jung-min offers the crucial support she desperately needs.

Karma: A Talented Ensemble Cast

Karma features an impressive lineup of actors, including Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-a, Lee Hee-joon, and Kim Sung-kyun. The series revolves around the interconnected lives of six individuals wrapped in a series of dramatic events.

Park Hae-soo portrays a man who witnesses an enigmatic accident, leading him to make a fateful deal he cannot amend. Meanwhile, Shin Min-a plays Joo-yeon, a surgeon burdened by childhood trauma who unexpectedly encounters the source of her pain.

Lee Hee-joon embodies a debtor driven to escape his dire circumstances through an ill-fated cryptocurrency investment, which ultimately results in devastating losses. Veteran actor Kim Sung-kyun takes on the role of Jang Gil-ryong, who finds himself entangled in a high-stakes game after being wrongfully dismissed from his job. Additionally, Gong Seung-yeon will portray Yu-jeong, the girlfriend of a key figure, known as ‘glasses.’

In this captivating narrative, Lee Kwang-soo plays ‘Glasses,’ a successful clinic owner in Gangnam, who navigates the trials and tribulations of personal relationships alongside his girlfriend Yu-jeong, who is noted for her striking looks.

For those unfamiliar, Karma is based on the webtoon Akyeon, created by Choi Hee-sun, originally consisting of six episodes.

In recent industry updates, Park Hae-soo has been confirmed for a lead role in the upcoming drama The Price of Confession. He has previously garnered attention for his performances in notable series like Narco-Saints and Money Heist: Korea-Joint Economic Area-Part 1.
