Understanding the Path: Where to Begin
To embark on your quest to reach Casterfall Woods, your first objective is to locate the Sewer Tunnels entrance. You can find it in Slatten Dale at the coordinates 28E 79.4N. Enter the gate and proceed inside, keeping an eye out for signs pointing northwest towards the Main Facility. Navigate to the brightly lit open area, then head west through the tunnel until you spot the signage for Casterfell Woods.
Be aware that enemies lurk on both the upper and lower levels of the Main Facility, so come prepared for battle. If you’re finding combat challenging, explore Slatten Dale instead: take care of outlaws with melee weapons and reclaim their gear and ammunition. Additionally, you can sift through ruins, investigate houses, and offer assistance to NPCs for rewards.
Once you’ve navigated past the Main Facility, head east and then descend the ladder while keeping the Casterfell Woods sign to your left. Unlock the gate to advance into the mysteries that lie ahead, ultimately leading you into Casterfell Woods. If you’re feeling a bit lost initially like I did, remember that this area expands beyond a single location marked on your map.
Upon entering Casterfall Woods, a plethora of new quests, loot opportunities, and secrets await you. Early explorations may lead you to encounter hints of a pagan cult; however, it’s still unclear whether they are the peace-loving, free-spirited type or those engaged in more unsettling rituals.
