My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Episode 3 – Kuin Hachisuka Makes Her Debut as the Trigger Investigation Takes a New Direction

The latest installment of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, specifically episode 3, has brought significant character development and the introduction of an intriguing antagonist, Kuin Hachisuka. In this episode, viewers witness the growing camaraderie among Koichi Haimawari, Knuckleduster, and Pop☆Step as they spend more time together, particularly at Koichi’s residence.

Building on the events from the previous episode, Koichi, along with Pop☆Step and Knuckleduster, successfully assisted Eraser Head in confronting an Instant Villain. Following this pivotal moment, Koichi embraced his new role as Knuckleduster’s apprentice and emerged as the vigilante known as the Crawler. Shortly thereafter, Pop☆Step arrives, needing a space to change for her upcoming performance. With Koichi off to his part-time job, the home dynamic showcases the blending of their vigilante lives with the challenges of their everyday responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Pop☆Step captivates her audience with a performance, but chaos ensues when an overzealous fan named Teruo, desperate for interaction, resorts to the Trigger drug. This reckless decision transforms him into a gigantic, slippery eel, igniting a pursuit after Pop☆Step.

Faced with this challenging Instant Villain, Koichi and Knuckleduster devise a clever strategy involving bait and a flour mixture to neutralize Teruo’s sliminess. Despite successfully managing to trap him, the vigilantes are disappointed to find no information regarding the Trigger drug among Teruo.

After their encounter, the trio heads back to Koichi’s home for recuperation. Although this is not the social life Koichi had envisioned, the camaraderie fosters a sense of enjoyment. Meanwhile, Police Detective Tsukauchi and his partner Tanuma express concerns that the rise in Trigger drug activities foreshadows a more significant crisis looming over the city.

The narrative progresses with Pop☆Step receiving an email from two middle-aged fans following Teruo’s release, as they believe he could provide critical information about the Trigger drug. Koichi and Pop☆Step set off to reach Teruo, but during their journey, they catch the attention of a fan named Kuin Hachisuka. She rushes over for a photograph, mistakenly assuming Koichi is Pop☆Step’s boyfriend, a notion quickly corrected by both parties.

Shortly after, Kuin abandons her friends and retreats into an alley, revealing her true nature as a second-year high school student and part-time villain. Her Quirk, named Queen Bee, gives her the ability to command chemically infused worker bees, which she uses to inject unsuspecting victims with the Trigger drug.

As chaos erupts, ten Instant Villains spearheaded by Kuin’s bees flood the town. Knuckleduster pursues one of these bees while Koichi and Pop☆Step monitor the situation online, witnessing renowned heroes like Ingenium, All Might, Eraser Head, and others springing into action to dismantle the criminal threats swiftly.

The episode concludes with Knuckleduster on the hunt for the source behind the bee attack, while Kuin Hachisuka successfully abducts Teruo, setting the stage for escalating conflict.
