While O’Shon has demonstrated his dedication to Ava, it’s possible he evaluated that his presence would not be beneficial at this particular rally. Given that a golf course developer—far more culpable in the corrupt dealings—was present while being financially insulated from consequences, O’Shon’s decision to abstain makes sense in the context of the unfolding drama.
