La Quimera, the highly anticipated game from developer Reburn, is officially launching on April 25, as announced by the studio. This confirmation was made alongside the release of an exciting new gameplay trailer and some noteworthy details about the game, including its competitive pricing.
Reburn, formerly known as 4A Games Ukraine and the creative force behind the Metro series, first teased La Quimera in late February with a brief two-minute trailer that did not provide any release information. However, the recent updates have clarified the launch date and pricing structure.
Players can expect to purchase La Quimera for $29.99 or €29.99, a price that stands out considering the game’s impressive visuals and features that suggest a AAA caliber point of development. Although this affordable pricing may indicate a shorter gameplay experience, Reburn has not confirmed the game’s overall length yet.
New Gameplay Trailer Unveiled
To mark the announcement of its release date, Reburn released the second gameplay trailer for La Quimera. The video provides a closer look at the game, showcasing a range of weapons such as assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs, and more. Players are encouraged to remain combat-ready, hinting at the game’s intense action.
Additionally, the trailer introduces the unique exosuit functionalities that players can utilize to achieve extraordinary abilities during gameplay. This aspect of La Quimera draws comparisons to the iconic mechanics found in Crysis, particularly amplified by its lush tropical environments.

Upcoming Closed Beta and Sign-Up Details
In preparation for the official rollout, Reburn is initiating a closed beta starting on April 12 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 4 PM CET. Participants can sign up for this limited-access testing phase on La Quimera’s Steam page, where users can also wishlist the game.
The beta will last for a single day, and the number of available slots will be limited, though specific details about the allotment have yet to be disclosed.
La Quimera is designed for solo play and supports cooperative gameplay, allowing teams of up to three players to tackle missions together. As of now, the game has only been confirmed for PC, leaving fans eager for updates regarding potential console versions. Reburn’s CEO, Dmytro Lymar, expressed gratitude for the resilience of the Ukrainian community in a statement coinciding with the release date announcement. “Our work wouldn’t be possible without the bravery and sacrifice of those defending Ukraine, and we’re profoundly grateful for their strength and resilience.”
