McDonald’s Launches ‘Genshin Impact’ Collaboration in Teyvat

The announcement regarding the collaboration between Genshin Impact and McDonald’s certainly wasn’t subtle. Within mere hours, the gaming community began buzzing with speculation about the potential partnership.

The clues are quite straightforward. If you take the initial letters of the Genshin Impact ascension materials, they spell out “McDonald’s.”Additionally, since Genshin Impact has previously teamed up with various fast-food brands, it was only a matter of time before McDonald’s made its entrance to Teyvat.

For those hoping for collectible merchandise, this collaboration won’t include a Happy Meal promotion. Instead, players can look forward to a variety of in-game rewards and a bonus of 40 Primogems.

The Genshin Impact and McDonald’s collaboration will take place from September 17, 2024, to September 29, 2024, in the United States. This gives players over a week to collect the rewards. To join in, orders must be made via the McDonald’s app. Details regarding participation in other countries are yet to be released.

Included Rewards

This partnership will offer various in-game rewards depending on the meal you select. For instance, purchasing the Apple Pie with either Kazuha or Beidou grants you 40 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, an in-game recipe for “Golden Apple Pastry,”three pastries, four Mystic Enhancement Ore, and two Hero’s Wit. You’ll be able to redeem these rewards with a code included with your order.

As an Adventure Rank 60 player, I find these rewards not particularly enticing—unless I have a craving for Apple Pie. Without the price disclosed, the Apple Pie is a tough sell. However, the “Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal”offers more appealing items, featuring a “Wings of Delicacy” wind glider and a “Celebration: Crispy and Sweet” name card. I can already envision how amazing the wind glider would look on characters like Beidou, Kazuha, or even Diluc in his Red Dead of Night attire.
