Mark Ronson’s Health Update: Composer Provides Fans with Insights After Recent Hospitalization

Mark Ronson, renowned for his Oscar-winning contributions as a music producer and composer, recently revealed via an Instagram update that he has been hospitalized following a performance. This announcement was made on April 2, where he shared a glimpse of his current situation.

In his Instagram post, Ronson included a photo of himself in a hospital bed, giving a thumbs-up. He recounted an incident from his latest gig where he attempted to reposition the venue’s subpar house PA system, which involved moving a heavy stage monitor. Unfortunately, his efforts led to him suffering from two torn bicep tendons.

“That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice. Turns out they weigh more than I thought…Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby! #tornthisway,”he posted.

As per the Mayo Clinic, the standard treatment for torn bicep tendons generally includes options such as physical therapy and rest. In more severe cases, surgical intervention might be required.

On March 27, Ronson announced that his memoir, titled Night People: How to Be a DJ in ’90s New York City, is slated for release on September 23, 2025. He expressed to Rolling Stone that his formative experiences as a DJ during the 1990s were pivotal in establishing his music career.

“DJ’ing in Nineties New York City informed everything I ever did after, becoming the foundation for all my future work and creativity,”he stated.

In his memoir, Ronson intends to highlight three significant passions: the art of DJing, the vibrant nightlife of New York City, and the eclectic personalities he encountered who became like family to him.

“In Night People, I wanted to capture that transformative period of my life and celebrate three of my great loves: the art of DJ’ing, the thrilling energy of New York City after dark, and the wild and wonderful characters who populated our world and became my second family,”he shared.

Describing Night People as both a personal tribute and a reflection on a lost era, Ronson emphasized the profound impact those years had on both his career and personal identity.

“This book is my love letter to a vanished era that shaped not just my career but my identity — a time when finding my craft put me on the path to finding myself,”he concluded.
