Guest racers, known for being drawn from other popular Nintendo franchises, have previously included icons such as Link from The Legend of Zelda and Isabelle from Animal Crossing. This time, however, one specific guest character has stirred excitement among long-time fans.
Scheduled for release on June 5, simultaneously with the Nintendo Switch 2, Mario Kart World is positioned as a launch title. Fans can opt to purchase it as part of a bundled package or individually. This latest iteration will present over 40 unique characters and enable races with up to 24 players. Additionally, the game will introduce innovative features such as edible snacks, as revealed in the Direct, along with eight new tracks that will enrich the gameplay.
Although the Direct teased an exciting return of a notable character as an in-game item, the showcase further hinted at the revival of the iconic R.O.B. from the racing series.
