Lim Ji-yeon To Make Historical Drama Comeback In 7 Years With “Mrs. Ok”

Actress Lim Ji-yeon will appear in a historical drama for the first time in 7 years after “The Royal Gambler” (2016)

On December 6th, JTBC confirmed that the new drama “Mrs. Ok” , which is set in the Joseon Dynasty, will premiere next year. “Mrs. Ok” stars Lim Ji-yeon and Choo Young-woo as the main characters.

“Mrs. Ok” tells about Ok Tae-young, whose name, status and husband are all fake, and Cheon Seung-hwi, who risks his life to protect Ok Tae-young.

Lim Ji-yeon takes on the role of Ok Tae-young, a legal expert in the Joseon Dynasty. She’s a smart person who has excellent analytical skills, athletic sense, and skillful hands. She lives under a fake name and status to hide her true identity.

Choo Young-woo plays Cheon Seung-hwi, who can risk his life to protect Ok Tae-young. He’s a storyteller who travels around the country to read novels for people. In love, he’s a bold person who does not hesitate to take action.

Director Jin-hyuk, who was behind the success of “The Legend of the Blue Sea” (2016) and “Master’s Sun” (2013), and writer Park Ji-sook of “Uncle” (2021) and “The Spring Day of My Life” (2014) joined hands to make “Mrs. Ok” .
