Features and Additions in Last Epoch’s Tombs of the Erased
Since Eleventh Hour Games unveiled the update just a few days ago, they have been actively engaging with their player community through interviews and informative blog posts. Below are the key features set to accompany The Tombs of the Erased:
New Procedural Side Zones

The centerpiece of this update includes exciting enhancements to the endgame system, featuring procedurally generated side zones brimming with enemies, unique boss encounters, and valuable loot. Although it’s uncertain how these areas relate to the newly introduced Woven faction, they promise to inject variety into the existing endgame content.
The Woven Faction
Fans will be introduced to the Woven faction, guided by a mysterious arachnid entity known as the Weaver. While details on the faction’s passive abilities are yet to surface, the Woven are expected to significantly impact gameplay and loot aspects in the endgame, potentially including new crafting options.
Expansion of the Monolith of Fate: Woven Echoes

Addressing a long-standing community request, players will now have access to Woven Echoes as a way to enrich their Monolith of Fate experience. These attachable items can be placed into Monolith trees, introducing new connections, encounters, and loot opportunities. Players will also benefit from a streamlined inventory system as Woven Echoes will not occupy standard stash slots, instead being stored in a dedicated collection space. Collecting these echoes is essential for engaging with the new Uber Aberroth encounter.
Revamped Mastery Mechanics
The Tombs of the Erased update will also introduce Mastery Respecialization, a feature players have long requested. Additionally, the Sentinel Mastery will undergo significant reworks. While further specifics will be shared later, players can expect new passives that enhance Divine Bolts, with a focus on electricity damage effects.

A new skill called Heartseeker will also be introduced for the Rogue class. Unlocking this skill requires a 30-point investment in the Marksman Mastery tree. Heartseeker can serve as both an area clear and damage-per-second tool, featuring a novel mechanic dubbed Recurve, allowing it to retarget enemies dynamically.
New Bosses, Quality of Life Improvements, and More
The update will also refresh the Monolith of Fate experience with new bosses linked to the Tomb and Cemetery side zones. Notably, the previously introduced pony boss, Aberroth, will have its difficulty adjusted to streamline the encounter, while a new Uber variant—dubbed Uberroth—will present a more formidable challenge. This Uber variant is designed for players tackling 500 Corruption encounters, adding an extra layer of difficulty.
Additionally, a new enemy type named Champions will be introduced. These enemies will be tough to defeat and drop items imbued with special Champion affixes, adding further strategy and customization through class-specific enhancements.

Crafting will see improvements as the Woven faction provides services allowing players to reroll Unique and Legendary items. New crafting runes will be introduced to enhance functionality, improving both entry-level and high-level crafting. Players can also use the Woven to add additional modifiers on their idols, effectively raising the player power ceiling.
The content described only scratches the surface of what the Tombs of the Erased update will offer. As the release date approaches, Eleventh Hour Games will share more insights and details through regular blog updates, and patch notes will be published a few days prior to the launch.
