Kevin Smith’s acclaimed religious satire Dogma is set to make a grand return to the big screen to commemorate its 25th anniversary. This limited theatrical release is scheduled for June 5, 2024, and comes after Smith successfully reclaimed the rights to the film from former producer Harvey Weinstein.

In collaboration with AMC Theatres and Iconic Events Releasing, the revival of Dogma will feature a nationwide tour, stopping in 25 cities. Smith, known for his roles as a writer, director, and Silent Bob, previously created several notable works under the Miramax label, including Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy.

Originally released in 1999, Dogma follows fallen angels played by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who exploit a loophole in Catholic doctrine that could grant them access to Heaven. However, their plans are complicated by an array of unlikely heroes, including a woman grappling with her faith (Linda Fiorentino), the forgotten 13th Apostle (Chris Rock), and the iconic duo Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith), who unite to thwart an impending apocalypse.

The upcoming release features a stunning 4K remaster of the film, which is set to engage audiences with an exclusive behind-the-scenes Q&A with Kevin Smith, enhancing the viewing experience. The anniversary tour is set to kick off with a special premiere at The Grove in Los Angeles on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2024.
