Kanye West Confuses Dave Blunts and Druski in Diddy Allegations? Viral Texts Explained

Kanye West’s Alleged DM with Dave Blunts: Viral Drama Unveiled

Recently, a purported screenshot of a direct message between Kanye West and internet personality Dave Blunts took social media by storm. This incident came to light as the Yeezy creator seemingly confused Blunts with comedian Druski, who is currently facing allegations tied to a lawsuit involving Diddy.

The post made headlines when X user @lottareds shared it on March 10, 2025, with a caption that read, “Kanye reveals texts with Dave Blunts about Druski in an Instagram post that is now deleted. This is actually CRAZY.” The viral image showcased a direct message supposedly exchanged between the two artists.

The Controversial Message

In the alleged text, Kanye asked Blunts:

“Why am I seeing these allegations about you? I thought you were different. Delete my trainer’s number.”

To which Dave Blunts responded, clarifying, “Ye, that’s not me. That’s Druski.” After realizing his mistake, Kanye replied, “Oh. Nevermind. How much weight have you lost since I connected you with my trainer?” This exchange quickly gained traction, racking up over 4.6 million views shortly after its appearance.

However, this viral post has since been debunked. Community notes revealed discrepancies, including the fact that Kanye’s official Instagram handle is @ye, not @kanyewest as shown in the screenshot. Additionally, there were no posts or stories from West around that date, and his Instagram account appeared to be inactive. Notably, the account responsible for the viral post, @lottareds, describes itself as a “concept artist” focused on “vamp/satire.”

Spreading the Rumor

The misinformation continued as another X user, @ayeejuju, shared the fabricated DM on March 11, 2025, captioning it, “Kanye dumb af.” This post also gained significant views, totaling 11.2 million, but was ultimately found to be unfounded.

Interestingly, an authentic DM exchange between Blunts and Kanye did emerge online. On March 9, 2025, Kanye himself shared a conversation on X where he reached out to Blunts to offer support for his weight loss journey:

“Bout to listen. Do you mind if I connect you and my trainer? We need you to stay alive.”

Kanye’s genuine concern was met with gratitude from Dave, who replied, “Let’s do it. Thank you Ye,” with a heart emoji. Following this, the Iowa-based artist shared more context by revealing another part of their conversation:

“You my favorite rapper and writer. You free?”

“Thank you so much Ye it means the world to me. I am free.”

Kanye’s Support for Dave Blunts

Kanye expressed admiration for Blunts, stating that his music inspired him. He further identified Blunts as his “favorite rapper” and revealed that his top artist is Playboi Carti. Additionally, West publicly defended Blunts on X by criticizing Rolling Loud for allegedly restricting the rapper from performing songs that contained certain remarks:

“Dave Blunts gotta song that say ladyboy on it and Rolling Loud told him he can’t perform it. But he can perform everything that’s talking about guns.”

In response, Rolling Loud clarified that the restrictions stemmed from Blunts’ own team and not from their management. Interestingly, prior to this exchange, Blunts had indicated a willingness to tone down the vulgarity in his lyrics.

However, following Kanye’s defense, it seems Blunts is reconsidering his position. He shared his thoughts on X, saying:

“When I made the decision to change my lyrics and not be so vulgar and not use such grotesque and descriptive profanity, I didn’t know people would react the way they did…”

A subsequent tweet had Blunts pondering whether he should revert to his original style:

“Should I continue being vulgar in my music do I abandon the very thing that got me here.”

Moreover, Blunts teased a new track referencing his recent interactions with Kanye, rapping about being advised to connect with the Yeezy founder’s personal trainer for health reasons:

“Ye said I’m the chosen one / Ye told me to talk to his personal trainer ’cause he wanna see me alive.”

Druski’s Legal Troubles

Amidst the chaos surrounding Kanye and Dave, Druski was highlighted in a lawsuit alleging serious accusations, including drugging and misconduct against a woman named Ashley Parham. The comedian has denied these claims, labeling them as “outlandish.”

This unfolding saga illustrates the complexities of celebrity interactions and the potential for misinformation to spread rapidly within the digital landscape.
