Jonathan Majors Addresses Leaked Audio: “I’m Living Life” After Admitting to Strangling Ex-Girlfriend

Actor Jonathan Majors is currently facing public scrutiny following the release of an audio recording in which he admits to assaulting his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. During an interview on March 20, 2025, with Complex, Majors discussed his upcoming film, Magazine Dreams, and expressed gratitude for the personal growth he has pursued in light of the issues raised in the recording.

When asked about his reflections on the situation, Majors succinctly responded:

“Yeah, I’m living life.”

On March 17, Rolling Stone published the controversial audio where Majors confessed to assaulting Jabbari, a revelation that emerged after he was arrested in March 2023 over domestic violence allegations. Throughout the trial, the Creed III star maintained his innocence.

By December 2023, the court found him guilty of third-degree assault and second-degree harassment, resulting in no jail time. Instead, he was mandated to enroll in a domestic violence intervention program.

Jonathan Majors’ Return in Magazine Dreams

The audio recording revealed Majors admitting to physically assaulting Jabbari, confessing to actions including pushing her against a car and strangling her. The recording, captured in September 2022, followed a volatile argument while the couple was living together. The excerpt includes his admission:

“I’m ashamed I’ve ever – I’ve never (been) aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman – I aggressed you.”

In response, Jabbari confronted him, stating:

“You strangled me and pushed me against the car.”

Majors acknowledged this by stating:

“Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed,’ yeah. That’s never happened to me.”

Following his conviction, Majors was sentenced to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. Consequently, Marvel Studios decided to remove him from his role as Kang the Conqueror, leading to a significant loss of professional opportunities for the actor.

As Magazine Dreams opened in theaters on March 21, fans and critics alike will witness Majors’ return to the silver screen. This film, written and directed by Elijah Bynum, tells the story of an aspiring bodybuilder grappling with themes of fame, obsession, isolation, and violence. The cast features talents like Taylour Paige and Harrison Page, among others.

While discussing the leaked audio, Majors remarked on his growth journey, stating:

“I was so grateful that I had done my work, you know? And I’m continuing to do my work.”

He elaborated, saying:

“Because you’re talking about it. There were vibrations, you know? Reverberations… but I was just—I was happy I’d done my work, you know? I was happy I had done my work.”

In a recent interview on the talk show Sherri, Majors expressed his faith in a greater plan, sharing, “Whatever it is, it is,”after discussing how he relinquished control over the situation.

Amid the tumult, Majors recently wed fiancée Meagan Good in a private ceremony. He revealed to host Sherri Shepherd that his mother officiated their nuptials, with Good’s mother present as a witness.

The couple first met at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in October 2022, publicly confirming their relationship in May 2023, right around the time Majors faced his legal challenges. Good stood by him during the trial, frequently supporting him in court appearances. Their engagement was confirmed later in November 2024 during a live interview at the Ebony Power 100 Gala.

As audiences anticipate Magazine Dreams, no further updates on Majors’ situation have come to light as of this report.
