The following morning, Rowling continued to express her concerns on social media. She stated, “I comprehend why men like Oliver, who have often ridiculed anti-science rhetoric, initially went along with these views; they sought to protect their careers by adopting fashionable stances against women’s rights.”

In response to a follower’s comment suggesting that appearing foolish for political correctness is unimaginable, Rowling argued, “They’re simply recycling talking points from 2020, oblivious to the growing backlash against these ideas. This narrative not only leads to electoral losses but also endangers girls and women.”

Rowling, however, countered Oliver’s assertion, stating, “Though Oliver is intelligent, he disseminates unfounded claims to champion what he wants to believe, despite the absence of evidence. Time and again, I encounter individuals who echo Oliver’s rhetoric, dismissing scientific data about physiological differences between sexes.”

She concluded with a stark reminder: “If you’re eager to advocate for a viewpoint that disregards the well-being of females, accept the consequences of your words. It’s worth considering the ramifications of belittling real issues like sexual predation against young women.”
