Jeff Bezos Age: Venice Officials Announce Limited 200-Guest Wedding with Lauren Sanchez Will Ensure No Disruption

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Set to Marry in Venice: Details Unveiled

Reports indicate that Jeff Bezos, the iconic founder of Amazon, and his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, are planning an elegant wedding in the picturesque city of Venice this year. The local government has confirmed a guest list limited to 200 attendees, quelling concerns about potential disruptions often associated with high-profile events in the historic city. Bezos, 61, proposed to 55-year-old Sanchez in 2023 after a five-year romance.

Municipality Addresses Wedding Speculations

On March 21, 2025, officials from the Municipality of Venice issued a firm statement addressing the “fake news”surrounding the scale of the upcoming wedding. They assured the public that the festivities would proceed without impacting the city and its residents.

“The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos’ wedding are completely unfounded. Only 200 guests will have been invited, making it easy for Venice to accommodate such an event, without any disruption whatsoever to the city, its residents, and visitors,”the municipality stated.

Setting the Record Straight

This announcement follows Bezos’s recent public denial of rumors regarding a lavish $600 million wedding planned for Aspen in December 2024. Taking to X on December 22, Bezos dismissed this narrative as “completely false,”emphasizing the importance of skepticism towards sensationalized news stories.

“This whole thing is completely false — none of this is happening. The old adage ‘don’t believe everything you read’ is even more true today than it ever has been,”Bezos articulated. “So be careful out there, folks, and don’t be gullible.”

When Will the Wedding Take Place?

According to Luca Zuin, spokesperson for Venice’s Mayor Luigi Brugnaro, the wedding ceremony is tentatively scheduled to occur between June 24 and 26 on Bezos’s extravagant yacht, Koru.

The Venice Municipality clarified that wedding planners have not reserved a significant number of gondolas or water taxis for the occasion, ensuring the city’s daily operations remain unaffected.

“The organizers have categorically not booked large amounts of gondolas or excessive numbers of water taxis. Our utmost priority is to ensure that the city functions as normal for everyone, without any abnormal disruption,”the municipality emphasized.

Economic Impact and Preparations

Mayor Brugnaro has noted that the wedding could bring in substantial economic benefits for Venice, with potential repercussions valued in millions of euros. He expressed a commitment to collaborating with event organizers to uphold the city’s unique character.

“We are mutually working and supporting the organizers to ensure that the event is respectful of the city’s fragility and uniqueness. Those who love Venice will always be welcome,”Brugnaro remarked.

Celebrities and Family Ties

As anticipation builds, it has been reported by People Magazine that invitations for the Venetian wedding have already been dispatched. A host of celebrities, including Katy Perry, Eva Longoria, and Kim Kardashian, are rumored to be on the guest list; however, neither Bezos nor Sanchez has publicly confirmed these attendees.

Reflecting on their previous relationships, Jeff Bezos was married to MacKenzie Scott for 26 years, with whom he shares four children. In contrast, Lauren Sanchez was wed to Patrick Whitesell from 2005 to 2019 and has two children with him, along with another son from her relationship with retired NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
