Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s Journey After Vanderpump Rules Season 8

In 2015, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright first crossed paths in Las Vegas, marking the beginning of an enchanting journey that unfolded on the reality show Vanderpump Rules. At that time, Jax was already a prominent cast member in the series’ third season, while Brittany was residing on her family farm in Kentucky, balancing her job at Hooters. Their connection was instantaneous, prompting Jax to invite Brittany to relocate to Los Angeles, leaving her family behind.

Brittany made her inaugural appearance on Vanderpump Rules at the beginning of season four when Jax proudly introduced her as his girlfriend. Following several notable guest roles, she became a full-fledged cast member during season six. In April 2017, they co-starred in the spin-off series, Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky, and more recently, the couple has returned for a new Bravo series titled The Valley.

On March 19, audiences were introduced to the first season of The Valley, a new spin-off from the Vanderpump Rules franchise, featuring Jax and Brittany. Alongside former co-stars and new faces, including Kristen Doute, the series explores their lives post-Vanderpump. However, just days prior to the premiere, Brittany revealed their separation on their podcast.

Following their separation last year, Brittany officially filed for divorce in August 2024. Reports indicate that her decision came shortly after Jax completed a 30-day treatment program at a mental health facility. In her filing, Brittany sought legal and physical custody of their son, Cruz, while allowing visitation for Jax. Although months have passed since the filing, their divorce remains unresolved.

In addition to these developments, Brittany mentioned in a recent trailer for season two of The Valley that she had taken steps to file a restraining order against Jax. This upcoming season promises to delve into their separation, documenting how they navigate the complexities of their divorce process. Notably, Jax appeared to handle the news well, reportedly having company at home without Brittany’s knowledge. Consequently, the couple discontinued their joint podcast, with Brittany rebranding it as When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright and Jax launching his own podcast, In The Mind Of A Man. As they both forge ahead, their co-parenting situation raises questions that viewers are eager to explore in the new season.

The Valley season two is set to premiere on April 15 at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
