Jack Doherty Addresses Backlash for Sexualizing Minors in Controversial TikTok Video

Jack Doherty, a controversial figure in the Kick streaming community, recently faced renewed scrutiny following the resurfacing of an old TikTok video. The clip, shared by verified X user Yoxic (@yoxics), showed Doherty filming a TikTok with a child while lip-syncing to “King’s Dead,”a collaborative track by Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Future. The video sparked backlash due to its perceived inappropriate display, with Doherty awkwardly holding the child’s head.

Yoxic expressed dismay in a tweet, stating:

“I’ve lost all respect for Jack Doherty w*f is this..”

In a response to the criticism on March 17, 2025, Doherty defended himself, claiming he was only 15 years old at the time of filming, and that the child was his niece. He further labeled his critics as “weird”for their interpretations, stating:

“Bro I was 15 in that video and it’s my niece. It was a TikTok trend everyone was doing it. Ur weird for sexualizing 2 Minors.”

Despite this defense, many users doubled down on their criticism. One user remarked:

“‘TikTok trend’ st*u Jack, you’re weird as heck. 15 year old playing with a toddler’s head to this song, while wearing a playboy shirt? Nah you’re cooked. Weirdo,”@pipandip tweeted.

Other reactions included:

“You knew and understood exactly what the implication of the song with the movement was. You were 15 sexualizing a little girl,”@InTheShadows222 commented.

“Dude you are a weirdo,”@REDBONESHY added.

“Yeah bro you shot yourself in the foot on this one,”@TylerMade337 stated.

Jack Doherty’s History of Controversy

Jack Doherty’s reputation for controversy isn’t a new development. He has consistently attracted negative attention due to various incidents that have sparked public outrage.

One recent incident involved a stream on the new platform Parti, where an unexpected altercation led to a stranger slapping him, resulting in Doherty and his security team chasing and allegedly assaulting the individual.

Additionally, he has come under fire for accusations of reckless driving, highlighted by a serious accident in which he crashed his McLaren, injuring his cameraman in the process. Following this incident, he faced a ban from Kick.

In November 2024, allegations surfaced regarding his involvement in a pump-and-dump cryptocurrency scheme. Doherty was accused of artificially inflating the price of a crypto asset, McLaren/SOL, on Raydium, leading to heightened criticism from his audience.

Despite these controversies, Doherty continues to actively stream on Parti, where he currently boasts a follower count of just over 4,000.
