Dorit Kemsley recently opened up about her separation from husband PK Kemsley during the After Show airing on March 11, 2025. Notably, she revealed that she had taken off her wedding ring, a decision she initially found challenging.
As the reality of her circumstances settled in, Dorit recognized it was time to remove the ring because it no longer felt appropriate. “I just thought, ‘You know what? It doesn’t feel right to wear this anymore.’ And I put it away,”she shared.
This change did not cross her mind until the media highlighted it, echoing a previous moment when her co-star Kyle Richards mentioned a memorial for PK within her home. Dorit explained that removing the ring was a significant step in her journey of processing and accepting the separation.
Dorit Kemsley Navigates a Complicated Emotional Landscape
Throughout the current season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit has been vocal about her struggle to comprehend the state of her relationship with Paul “PK”Kemsley. In her discussions with Bozoma Saint John, she expressed doubts about PK’s desire for divorce but remained perplexed by the email he sent suggesting the possibility.
Dorit emphasized that she believes PK needs to gain clarity about his feelings and actions before she can do the same. She described their situation as intricate and layered, noting that despite PK’s continued therapy, she has not been reassured by substantial progress, which dampens her optimism regarding their future.
“I think he [PK] needs to understand what he’s doing before I can understand what he’s doing. It’s very complex. I think it’s layered,”stated Dorit.
In the After Show, Dorit expressed uncertainty about her future, and Bozoma suggested that she might not truly want a divorce. Dorit conceded that while she doesn’t wish to end her marriage completely, she recognized that avoidance of divorce doesn’t necessarily imply a desire to remain married.
In a recent episode (Season 15, Episode 15), PK also conveyed ambiguity regarding their relationship. He acknowledged the bleakness of their situation yet expressed uncertainty about the long-term outcome. This discussion led Dorit to request “some clarity”regarding their relationship.
PK suggested prioritizing co-parenting their children with kindness and love. He outlined a plan for them to explore the potential of rebuilding their friendship first before making any decisions about their marriage. If, after six months, they found themselves better off as friends rather than spouses, they would reconsider the marriage’s viability.
Reflecting on this strategy in a confessional, Dorit mentioned, “I don’t feel in my heart that I want a divorce, but I’m not the one in control. Truthfully, PK’s calling the shots.”
PK highlighted that before contemplating any reconciliation, reconnecting with Dorit as friends is essential. He reiterated that he considers Dorit his best friend and longs to restore the connection they once shared.
For fans of the drama, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues to air Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on Bravo.
