IShowSpeed Teases Upcoming Tour Destination as China Livestreams Boost Popularity

Darren “IShowSpeed,”a prominent YouTube influencer, has been making headlines with his inaugural real-life (IRL) tour across China. The streamer made appearances in eight major cities, including iconic locations such as Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, from March 24 to April 7, 2025. As of April 8, 2025, IShowSpeed has suggested that his next destination could potentially be Japan.

The hint came via a social media story featuring IShowSpeed accompanied by his security team, Henry and Rudiger (a pseudonym). They were spotted outside what seemed to be a private jet, with the soundtrack for the post being AdTurnUp’s “9PM in Shibuya.”This choice of track is particularly significant as Shibuya is a vibrant district known for its iconic Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, Japan—one of the most hectic pedestrian intersections globally.

The Tour Extension Tease: “If we reach 38.6 million subscribers…”

IShowSpeed’s influence as a leading IRL streamer is undeniable, frequently captivating millions of viewers with his engaging content. His recent venture in China alone garnered him over a million new subscribers.

During a live stream in Changsha on April 7, 2025, he made an exciting announcement. If his subscriber count surpassed the 38.6 million mark, IShowSpeed promised to extend his tour into Japan. He emphatically stated:

“Chat, if we get to 38.6 (million subscribers) during this China tour, I will extend to go to Japan. Mark my words. Swear to god. On my dead aunt. You know I never go back on a promise.”

As of April 8, 2025, IShowSpeed sits at approximately 38.4 million subscribers. Data from Social Blade indicates that the channel typically attracts around 100,000 new subscribers each day, suggesting that reaching his goal is just around the corner.

IShowSpeed also teased this possible journey to Japan on his alternate X account, hinting at the following:

“japan after china?????????”

This wouldn’t mark IShowSpeed’s first trip to Japan; he previously visited the country in July 2023, which resulted in a significant boost in his viewership.

Furthermore, 2025 has already been a busy year for IShowSpeed, as his travels began in January with an extensive tour through South America, where he visited nations like Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and Uruguay.
