Darren “IShowSpeed”has successfully concluded one of his most ambitious tours to date. The renowned YouTube streamer, famed for his engaging IRL (in real life) content, embarked on a voyage across China starting March 24, 2025. His tour culminated with a final live stream from Mongolia on April 11, 2025.
During this journey, IShowSpeed had the opportunity to connect with several prominent figures in the region, including legendary actor Jackie Chan. Earlier in his travels, he hinted at the possibility of collaborating with Chan and confirmed today that their meeting took place off-camera.
“China tour was great man, everything was great. Good things gotta come to an end, though. I did everything I wanted to do – I met Jackie (Chan), I met Zhenwei Wang (actor), I met super idol. Yes, chat, I did meet Jackie, but it wasn’t on camera.”
Describing the encounter as “inspiring,”he expressed the profound impact it had on him.
“I did meet him, and it was very inspiring, and Imma really cherish that moment of me meeting Jackie. That really inspired me a lot. Jackie is a very inspiring guy, he inspired me to do better on our conversation.”
Future Plans: A Possible Journey to Japan?
While IShowSpeed has wrapped up his tour in China, a return to the United States may not be on the horizon just yet. Earlier this month, he hinted at the possibility of extending his travels with a trip to Japan, contingent on one specific goal: achieving 38.6 million subscribers on YouTube.
“Chat, if we get to 38.6 (million subscribers) during this China tour, I will extend to go to Japan. Mark my words. Swear to god. On my dead aunt. You know I never go back on a promise.”
As of this writing, IShowSpeed’s YouTube channel has indeed met that subscriber milestone, paving the way for a potential visit to the Land of the Rising Sun. Notably, he previously traveled to Japan in June 2023.
The China tour has significantly boosted his subscriber count, adding over a million new followers to his growing audience. Among the many highlights of the tour, a particularly memorable moment was his interaction with popular singer Wowkie Zhang, famed for his viral hit “Sunshine, Rainbow, White Pony.”
Beginning in Shanghai on March 24, 2025, Speed’s tour took him through a variety of cities, including Beijing, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, showcasing his charisma and connecting with fans across the region.
