Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, the Russian-born American YouTuber and Kick streamer, is currently embroiled in serious legal issues following his arrest in Bonifacio Global City, Philippines, on April 2, 2025. He faces accusations involving disruptive behavior, unauthorized property use, and making inappropriate remarks towards locals.
Recent Developments in Vitaly’s Legal Situation
As of today, April 7, 2025, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla has announced that the streamer will not be deported from the Philippines. Instead, he will remain in detention at the Bureau of Immigration facility in Muntinlupa as he prepares to face court proceedings.
During a press conference, Remulla emphasized the importance of upholding the law:
“He will remain at the Bureau of Immigration detention facility in Muntinlupa while he awaits his trial. We will not deport him. He will be held accountable by the law here in the Philippines.”
Accusations of Disrespecting Filipino Laws
Vitaly’s recent behavior has provoked public outrage, especially as critics accuse him of “belittling”the laws that govern the Philippines. A notable response highlighted the respect Filipinos show towards the laws of foreign countries:
“Filipinos are the most desired in the world. First one to be hired, last one to be fired. When Filipinos travel abroad, it’s rare that a case is filed against them, and we respect the laws of the countries we visit. Now, a Russian-American comes to the Philippines and belittles us. He belittled our laws.”
Allegations of Rash and Offensive Conduct
Known for his controversial content and sometimes reckless antics, Vitaly has previously drawn criticism for his tumultuous behavior. Reports from his visit to the Philippines indicate that he allegedly engaged in harassment and intimidation, threatening potential robbery victims with statements like:
“Madam, I am going to f**king rob you.”
His use of offensive language further fueled public backlash:
“I’m going to give you money. No, okay. Okay, ‘cus you’ve got a Covid mask you liberal f**k. Go get your vaccine!”
Ongoing Legal Troubles and Previous Incidents
Vitaly is reportedly under investigation for attempted theft, a situation which unfolded during one of his livestreams. Footage shows him allegedly snatching a cap from a security guard and fleeing. In addition, he has come under scrutiny for dangerously riding a motorcycle in public areas, setting a pattern of irresponsible behavior during his visits.
As a result of these controversies, his Kick account has been permanently banned. This incident follows a temporary suspension he faced in November 2024 for an unsettling incident in which he performed a Nazi salute.
This latest arrest is not an isolated incident; Vitaly has previously been arrested multiple times. His criminal record includes a notable charge for aggravated battery in April 2020, and in January of the same year, he was detained in Egypt for illegally climbing the Pyramids of Giza, an act strictly against local laws.
As Vitaly’s legal battles unfold, many are left to ponder the consequences of his provocative online persona and the accountability that follows.
