Jaguar, the iconic sports and luxury carmaker, recently unveiled its Type 00 concept car, making a spectacular entrance during Paris Fashion Week on March 9, 2025. The vehicle, which punctuated the event with its striking presence, featured striking butterfly doors that opened to reveal renowned Irish actor Barry Keoghan exiting the car. Intriguingly, Keoghan also posed in the driver’s seat, showcasing the sleek interior design of this futuristic two-seater, drawing considerable attention from onlookers and car enthusiasts alike.

The unveiling of the Type 00 sparked a flurry of reactions across social media. One user on X expressed skepticism regarding the car’s authenticity, questioning whether it was a real vehicle or a product of artificial intelligence.

“Is this fr or is this AI,”the user wrote.

Others were more impressed, with one user noting, “This is pretty slick not going to lie. Looks like a lot of companies are going more towards this boxy simplistic look,” displaying an appreciation for the vehicle’s modern aesthetics.

“This is pretty slick not going to lie. Looks like a lot of companies are going more towards this boxy simplistic look,”an X user commented.

Many viewers marveled at the car’s unique design, with several comments praising its paint job and tire design.

“I have to say this but that car looks sick. The paint job and the tires. It looks good actually,”another X user remarked.

Alternatively, some users drew comparisons to video games, suggesting that the design resembled vehicles from popular gaming titles like Roblox and Grand Theft Auto III.

“Looks like a car from GTA 3,”another user said.

“We got PS1 graphics concept cars,”an X user tweeted.

In a more critical light, some social media reactions labeled the Type 00 as “an error” in car design.

“That concept car looks like a reject from a bad sci-fi movie,”another user mentioned.

Insights on Jaguar’s Type 00 Concept Car

Originally introduced in December 2024, Jaguar’s Type 00 concept symbolizes a bold rebranding for the luxury automaker. The vehicle made a dramatic visual transformation from its initial hot pink exterior to the electric ultramarine blue showcased during Paris Fashion Week, embodying the company’s commitment to “exuberant modernism.”

This cutting-edge two-door prototype features a distinctive angular design characterized by a boxy front end and a fastback rear, maintaining a look that aligns with contemporary automotive trends while pushing creative boundaries.

Gerry McGovern, Jaguar’s chief creative officer, expressed his vision for the Type 00, stating:

“Type 00 is a pure expression of Jaguar’s new creative philosophy. It has an unmistakable presence. This is the result of brave, unconstrained creative thinking, and unwavering determination.”

“It is our first physical manifestation and the foundation stone for a new family of Jaguars that will look unlike anything you’ve ever seen. A vision which strives for the highest level of artistic endeavour.”

Regarding the luxury interior design, the vehicle incorporates premium materials such as wool-blend textiles from Kvadrat, travertine stone accents, and brass elements. Notably, the famed Jaguar emblem has been repositioned from the front to the side of the car, introducing a fresh wordmark in the process.

Jaguar’s mention of the Type 00 as a non-production vehicle suggests that this innovative design is a conceptual exploration rather than a forthcoming model. However, enthusiasts can look forward to a new four-door GT model that will draw inspiration from elements of the Type 00.
