Skull and Bones, the new open-world action-adventure RPG from Ubisoft, releases February 16 and will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Amazon Luna. But will the game have crossplay for all of them?
It’s been a long time in port for Skull and Bones, seven years to be exact. Ubisoft’s pirate-themed MMORPG is set to have players exploring the Indian Ocean. Embarking on a quest for infamy and riches during the golden age of piracy.
With three different ship types, each fully customizable, and full control over naval combat, players will be able to tailor their gameplay experience to their individual preferences.
Its open-world design means there will be plenty of archipelagos and islands for players to explore. Plus with the untamed Indian Ocean as its setting, the visuals are sure to be a treat. Players will get to explore the game alone, or in a group three players.

Skull and Bones finally arrives on February 16, but will the game have crossplay functionality?
Ubisoft has designed both PvE encounters, as well as PvP battles against other real-world players. The latter is expected to be a major focus of gameplay. But with the game releasing across practically everything save for the Nintendo Switch, the question most players have on their mind is: will it be crossplay?
Will Skull and Bones have crossplay available?
Skull and Bones will have full crossplay available across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and even Amazon Luna.
This feature will also be available upon launch, so if you’re keen on navigating through the high seas with your friends, it’s possible to invite them regardless the platform they’re playing right on day one.
Additionally, players will be able to host sessions with up to 20 players, with full crossplay functionality across all platforms in every session. The more, the merrier, right?
With that in mind, there’s no need to worry about who’s playing on what. Instead, everyone gets to sail the High Seas together.
