Is Skull and Bones coming to Nintendo Switch?

Skull and Bones is set to launch for PC, Playstation and Xbox on February 16. But is the game coming to Nintendo Switch?

It’s been a long wait for fans of Ubisoft’s open-world pirate-themed action RPG. But now, finally, after nearly a decade of development and delays, Skull and Bones launches on February 16.

Originally inspired by the ship-to-ship combat in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Skull and Bones will see players controlling all elements of sailing and engaging other vessels on the high seas, including ship navigation, crew management and combat.

Set during the ‘Golden Age of Piracy’ in the late 1600s, the game claims the Indian Ocean as its main setting. Players begin as a lowly swashbuckler scad with big dreams of becoming the High Seas most infamous pirate captain.

It’s taken a while for Skull and Bones to make it out of harbor, but the game sets sail February 16.

Is Skull and Bones coming to Nintendo Switch?

As of writing Skull and Bones is not coming to Nintendo Switch at this point. Skull and Bones will be available on the PS5, Xbox, and PC at launch.

There’s no word on the possibility of a future port yet. But, developer Ubisoft has been a big proponent of spreading the love across all current-generation platforms. They’ve released a slew of fantastic ports for the Switch, including the Assassins Creed Ezio Trilogy and Rebel Collection.

That said, the Switch is a console nearing the end of its shelf life. If Ubisoft wants to bring their pirate adventure to Nintendo players, they may just wait until the next generation console arrives.
