Is Horizon Forbidden West coming to PC?

Horizon Forbidden West came out for PS4 and PS5 two years ago, and after its prequel made its way to PC, players were left wondering if Aloy’s newest adventure could also make it to Microsoft Windows.

The Horizon series had immense success over the years with its base game Horizon Zero Dawn, its DLC The Frozen Wilds, and again with its newest installment Horizon Forbidden West, as well as the downloadable content from last year Burning Shores.

All of these left PC players wondering if Horizon Forbidden West could have the same sort of arc as its prequel, eventually making its way over to Microsoft Windows following its release date.

So if you’re wondering if you’ll be able to shoot arrows with your mouse and keyboard, here’s everything we know about the game making its way to PC.

Horizon Forbidden West looks to be everything that Zero Dawn was, and more.

Is Horizon Forbidden West getting a PC release?

Yes, luckily for PC users, Horizon Forbidden West will be released for Microsoft Windows.

As what happened with its predecessor, the title landed exclusively on both PlayStation consoles (PS4 & OS5), and now, after two years, it’s being ported over to allow PC players to explore the Forbidden West frontier.

When will Horizon Forbidden West be released on PC?

While other Sony exclusives like Death Stranding only took about eight months to make the jump, Horizon Forbidden West has taken over two years since it launched to make it to Microsoft Windows.

The official PC release date for Aloy’s newest adventure is set for Thursday, March 21, 2024, at midnight (local time).

Even though players can’t preload the game yet, they can pre-purchase it from the Epic Games store or on Steam. The only version available is the Complete Edition, which includes new content and the Burning Shores DLC.
