Is Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to Xbox Game Pass?

The latest game in the Final Fantasy franchise has just arrived, but will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth be available to play on Xbox Game Pass in the future?

Is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth coming to PC & Xbox Game Pass?

As of the time of writing, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not confirmed for Xbox Game Pass. Currently, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is only confirmed for PlayStation 5, with ports to other platforms expected starting after May 29, 2024, when the exclusivity window ends.

While Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is almost certainly coming to PC, as its predecessor did, there’s no guarantee it will come to Xbox Series X/S. The fact that Final Fantasy VII Remake still hasn’t launched on Xbox platforms is a bad sign for Microsoft fans.

That being said, there’s always a chance that Sony’s grip on the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy will loosen over time, and Microsoft manages to land them on its consoles. The games are certainly big enough that there would be interest for years to come.

When it comes to Xbox Game Pass, there’s a good chance Final Fantasy VII Remake or Rebirth could come to the service. After all, Final Fantasy VII Remake was available on PlayStation Plus, so Square Enix has proven its willingness to put the game on subscription services.

It looks bleak for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Xbox Game Pass, but it could just be a case of time rather than intent. Fans will know more once the PlayStation 5 exclusivity window ends in May and Square Enix’s future plans for the series are revealed.
