InZOI Update Introduces Long-Awaited Improvements

Overview of InZOI’s Latest Hotfix Update

  • Krafton has rolled out a new hotfix update for InZOI.
  • The initial update of April tackles various bugs and enhances the lifespan of Zois.
  • Changes to lifespan rules mean that now only senior Zois can die from natural causes.

Krafton, the developer of the life simulation game InZOI, has introduced a significant hotfix update that implements gameplay modifications and resolves several bugs, particularly focusing on the aging dynamics of Zois. While players who enjoy life simulation experiences have shown enthusiasm for InZOI, which is still in early access, there’s an ongoing demand for enhanced content and updates. Notably, Krafton has already responded to one of the community’s most sought-after improvements.

Being an early access game, InZOI is continuously evolving with fresh gameplay features and content yet to be unveiled. Although Krafton initially planned to release content updates approximately bi-monthly, Director Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim recently announced a strategic shift in the game’s development roadmap. Responding to substantial community feedback, the team will prioritize bug fixes and gameplay refinements in the upcoming phases. Kim indicated that multiple hotfixes are planned for April, with the initial set already implemented.

On April 1, Krafton delivered on its promise by launching the first hotfix update of the month, which focused on making gameplay amendments and rectifying bugs. Among the most noteworthy changes are the adjustments to the aging system. According to the official patch notes, detailed later in this article, the lifespan regulations now stipulate that only Zois classified as seniors can pass away from natural causes. This modification allows players additional time to bond with their creations, addressing a frequent request since the game entered early access on March 28.

It’s important to note that the recent changes only apply to Zois created after this hotfix. Consequently, existing characters will continue to have their original shortened lifespans. Additionally, the update includes several bug fixes, addressing an issue where clothing appeared dirty or damaged after washing and another that caused unexpected game crashes for some players. Krafton is actively working on resolving the persistent E01 and E04 error codes experienced during uploads to Canvas, with plans for further improvements on the horizon.

Given the recent alterations to InZOI’s development strategy, it’s still uncertain whether Krafton will adhere to its previously outlined timeline for new content rollouts. While the community can anticipate a series of hotfixes in the upcoming weeks, the initial post-launch roadmap indicated that the first major content update is scheduled for May. This forthcoming update aims to introduce a mod kit, adjustments to weight and muscle attributes, in-game cheat codes, relationship enhancements, an adoption system, and more. A free DLC is also slated for release in August, with additional content updates following in the subsequent months.
