Overview
- Leverage the new aging feature in inZOI to conveniently disable aging for player-controlled Zois, enhancing gameplay control.
- Players now have the option to halt aging for Zois within the game world, ensuring relationship compatibility.
- Extend the duration of a day in inZOI to decelerate aging, allowing for more meaningful interactions at the current age of your Zois.
Aging has presented a significant challenge in inZOI, with numerous players expressing concerns that their Zois age too quickly. This issue is especially impactful given that the game locks certain professions and activities based on age, which can disrupt gameplay and lead to lost opportunities. These concerns were particularly pronounced during the early access phase of the game.
Fortunately, this dilemma has been addressed with the introduction of an innovative setting that allows players to pause aging at will. With a straightforward toggle, players can decide when they want their Zois to start experiencing the passage of time. Although the process is simple, it can be easily overlooked due to being nestled among various other settings.
Disabling Aging for Player Zois in inZOI
To halt aging for their Zois, players should take the following steps:
- Pause the game and access the Options menu.
- Navigate to the Simulation tab located on the left side.
Within this tab, players will find multiple settings concerning Zois’ behavior and the duration of a day in the game.

Players must locate the option titled Aging (My Zois) and switch it from Enable to Disable. This action will effectively prevent the aging of the player’s Zois. To reinstate aging later, players can simply toggle this setting back on.
While inZOI includes a variety of complex mechanics, such as karma and cleanliness, the aging control feature stands out for its user-friendliness.
Stopping Aging for Other Zois in inZOI
Players can also stop other Zois in the game world from aging, a useful feature for maintaining dynamic relationships. To implement this:
- Return to the Options menu.
- Access the Simulation tab again.

Below the aging option for player Zois lies a setting that controls the aging for all Zois in inZOI. This feature, set to Enabled by default, allows other Zois to age normally unless adjusted.
Switching this option to Disabled will suspend aging for all Zois in the game world. This is particularly beneficial for players aiming to create romantic relationships between Zois without the concern that opposing Zois will age out of compatibility.
However, it is important to note that enabling this feature may lead to either a population increase or a static population in the game. As Zois do not age and pass away from old age, players may witness a surge in births. Conversely, this may result in a stagnating population as Zois can no longer grow old.
Caution is advised when using this setting, as it could significantly impact the game’s dynamics.
Methods to Slow Down Aging in inZOI
For players who prefer not to completely halt aging but would like to extend their time with their Zois at a current age, there are effective methods available.
Return to the Options menu and reselect the Simulation tab. Look for the Length of Day feature, which by default is set to 96 minutes for a full day cycle.

Players can modify this setting to either four hours or even 24 hours for a complete day. Selecting four hours means that a full inZOI day will take four real-world hours, while a setting of 24 hours extends this to an entire day. By doing this, players can engage more extensively with their Zois, maximizing their current age before any aging occurs.
If you wish to prolong your Zois’ youthfulness in inZOI, toggling the aging settings is conveniently straightforward.
