  • Player Milestone: InZOI surpasses The Sims 4 in player engagement but faces backlash over instability and content scarcity.
  • Denuvo DRM Removal: Kim eliminates Denuvo DRM following player concerns and invites feedback via Discord.

InZOI director Hyungjun “Kjun”Kim recently took to social media to address player frustrations following the early access launch of the life simulation game. Despite its impressive player count and favorable reviews on Steam, many users have reported technical issues and expressed dissatisfaction with the current content offerings. Kim has assured players that the development team is committed to enhancing the gaming experience.

Launched in early access for PC on March 27, 2025, InZOI quickly gained traction, amassing over 72,000 concurrent players within just 24 hours. This number puts it ahead of The Sims 4, which recorded a peak of 38,000 players in the same period, marking InZOI as a formidable competitor in the life simulation genre.

However, the excitement surrounding its launch was tempered by reports of frequent crashes and a perceived scarcity of engaging content. In his apology posted on Twitter, Kim compared the joy of observing players explore InZOI to a parent’s pride at a child’s first performance in kindergarten, acknowledging that the game’s initial phase has not been without its challenges. He pledged to continue integrating player feedback into future updates, stating, “I understand that the game might feel unstable and incomplete at times due to our effort to include your valuable ideas.”He also mentioned that his team would be taking some downtime to recharge after the strenuous development cycle leading up to the early access release.
