A recent conspiracy theory has gained traction online, suggesting that the Tesla logo resembles the KKK, or Ku Klux Klan. According to a report by Distractify on April 2, 2025, this claim originated from a TikTok video posted by user @thedisciplinedfatkid on March 31, 2025.
In his viral video, the TikToker urged viewers to scrutinize the Tesla emblem, contending that when flipped upside down, it resembles the iconic pointed hood associated with the Klan. Following the video’s popularity, a post was shared on X by user @EastEndJoe on April 2, showcasing the inverted logo, accompanied by the caption:
“Tesla logo upside down.”
The post quickly sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with one user claiming that the group has been “hiding in plain sight.”
“They’ve been hiding in plain sight,” wrote another commenter.
Additional comments echoed similar astonishment. One user poignantly highlighted the idea of perception:
“It’s all about perspective!”said a user.
Another noted, “I can’t unsee this now,”expressing a common sentiment.
“Is it true that when you buy a Tesla… you also get Klan ropes for free? And if you buy the Cybertruck, do you become a grand wizard?” questioned one user on X.
Others voiced similar reactions, with one urging Tesla CEO Elon Musk to redesign the logo, while another found the observation particularly intriguing.
“Oh damn. Now that I see it, I can’t unsee it. @elonmusk, new logo please,” requested one follower.
“This is DEFINITELY an interesting observation,” commented another user.
“There are no dots in it,” added one more voice in the discussion.
The Inverted Tesla Logo and KKK Controversy
This controversy comes shortly after rapper Kanye West’s public appearance in March 2025, where he donned a black KKK-style outfit during an interview with DJ Akademiks, once again drawing attention to the organization. Following that, the TikTok video calling out the Tesla logo gained significant traction, with the creator urging viewers to “never unsee this.”
In his short, 15-second clip, the TikToker flipped the Tesla emblem, suggesting it closely resembles the Klan robe hood, even adding two dots to give the impression of eyes. For those unfamiliar, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is an extremist group in the U.S. known for its white supremacist views. The Klan was formed shortly after the Civil War, with iterations continuing into the 20th century, gaining renewed notoriety in the 1920s due to rising anti-immigrant sentiments.
Their visibility surged with the release of D.W. Griffith’s film, The Birth of a Nation. Recently, Kanye faced backlash after a series of controversial posts, including a picture of a Klan robe with the caption “outfit of the day”on Instagram, and announcing the return of his Sunday Service choir events, further exacerbating tensions around the KKK imagery.
As discussions about the Tesla logo and its alleged KKK connection continue to circulate, it’s notable that there has been no response from Elon Musk on the matter as of yet.
