NJZ’s Hiatus Announcement Amid Legal Challenges with ADOR

In a related news piece, on March 21, NJZ found themselves embroiled in a legal dispute with their agency, ADOR. The court convened for the first time to address the agency’s lawsuit against the members, which argued that they had unilaterally decided to leave ADOR while pursuing independent projects. The ruling favored ADOR, confirming their authority to limit NJZ’s independent endeavors.

Previously, in November 2024, NJZ publicly declared their intention to part ways with ADOR during an emergency press conference. The members cited issues of harassment and mistreatment as significant motivators for their departure, which led them to seek individual activities. In the interim period, they announced their first independent engagement.

At the ComplexCon Music Festival in Hong Kong on March 23, NJZ performed under their group name in what would be their final independent activity before the court’s decision. During this performance, the group conveyed a poignant message to their supporters:

“This stage means so much to us, and every single one of you gives us strength just by being here… this might be our last performance for a little while. Out of respect for the court’s decision, we’ve decided to pause all our activities for now. It wasn’t an easy decision, but we believe this is something we need to do at this moment.”

Shortly after their announcement, ADOR responded, asserting that the group’s hiatus had not been mutually agreed upon and urging the members to meet and discuss future plans and pertinent details.
