Inside Season 2 Episode 4: Lights Out Challenge Recap and Highlights

On March 20, episode 4 of the highly anticipated Sidemen reality TV series, Inside season 2, premiered. Titled The Party’s Over, this episode captured the departure of two contestants, Mandi and Mya, while introducing an exciting challenge that separated the boys and girls.

The challenge’s unique twist involved all participants being blindfolded and having their ears covered. In each round, a single contestant would be chosen to remove their blindfold and select another player for elimination. The selected player would then face a guessing game: they had to identify which contestant had nominated them to stay in the competition. A wrong guess would result in a trip to the banishment zone, with the eligible remaining players allowed to vote on whom to save.

The Lights Out Challenge Explained

All the female contestants gathered in the challenge arena, where the rules were clarified before they donned their blindfolds and headphones. Cinna was the first to open her eyes, and she chose Mya. As the remaining contestants removed their blindfolds, Mya had the opportunity to guess who selected her.

Unfortunately for Mya, she guessed incorrectly, opting for Milli’s name, and was asked to step aside. The next player, Whitney, selected Farah but also guessed Milli and was removed from the game. This left Cinna, Whitney, and Milli as the survivors of the Lights Out challenge. However, they soon faced the tough decision of choosing between Farah and Mya for elimination.

Cinna shared her thoughts on the difficult choice:

“I’m trying to think of who I think needs it more and who wants it more, and who if I was at the end and I was there, I would be like, ‘They need the money and they deserve it.’

After a fair discussion and voting process, Cinna and the remaining contestants decided to save Farah, leading to Mya being nominated for banishment from the girls’ team.

The boys then took their turn in the challenge arena. DDG was the first to make a choice and selected PK for elimination. PK found himself confused during the guessing segment, mistakenly thinking his name would be picked by everyone, and ultimately guessed Jason incorrectly, which sent him to the banishment zone.

Returning for another round, DDG chose Patrice next. Observing George’s nervousness, he guessed him as the culprit, but was also wrong, resulting in Patrice being banished as well. The final three players remaining were DDG, George, and Jason, who now faced the task of voting between PK and Patrice.

George commented on the situation:

“If you wanna play devil’s advocate, PK is spending all our money.”

However, DDG dismissed concerns about spending and suggested that they should prioritize their strategy instead. Ultimately, the group chose to save PK, which meant Patrice would face Mya in the elimination vote. As the episode drew to a close, the contestants voted on who should remain, and Patrice gained enough support to stay in the competition, sending Mya home.
