Sidemen Debut Season 2 of ‘Inside’ on Netflix
The popular YouTube collective, Sidemen, launched the second season of their competitive reality series, Inside, on Netflix on March 17, 2025. Each day, new episodes roll out, with the second installment titled Silence Is Golden premiering on March 18. This episode featured a gripping challenge called Don’t Make A Sound, where participants faced the high stakes of risking part of a £1 million prize pool if they failed to complete tasks silently.
Challenge Overview and Host Dynamics
Hosted by Sidemen member Ethan “Behzinga”alongside MC and musician JME, the challenge involved players who were randomly selected to undertake tasks without uttering a single sound. These tasks ranged from popping balloons and smashing pies to enduring electric surprises and handling live snakes, all under the watchful eye of their peers.
Rule Breaks and Audience Dynamics
While the players endeavored to maintain silence, the audience, comprising Insiders, often faltered, breaking the tranquility with laughter and applause. Notably, one Insider defied the rules by playfully pieing Ethan in the face during the series of challenges.
Ethan’s Reaction to Gameplay Violations
Throughout each round, participants received randomly generated cards. If an Insider drew a card displaying a “skull,”they would partake in that round’s challenge. The overarching rule of not making a sound applied to all, not just the individual player.
As the challenge began, Ethan and JME divided contestants by gender before distributing cards. Milli Jo and DDG were selected for the inaugural challenge, named Icing on the Cake, where they launched cupcakes from a catapult aimed squarely at each other’s faces. Their antics led the rest of the contestants to struggle in stifling their laughter.
Financial Penalties and Insiders’ Reactions
As the challenge concluded, Ethan disclosed:
“George, Whitney, and Farah have broken the rules. £10,000 has been deducted from the prize fund.”
In the next twist, PK found himself tasked with popping balloons while wearing “drunk goggles.”This added layer of challenge meant he had to navigate a room filled with “fart spray”inside the balloons. In an ironic turn, Milli Jo inadvertently applauded his achievement, setting off the sound meter.
Interestingly, Ethan decided to overlook the breach of rules due to the comic relief PK provided during his task. However, Whitney’s spontaneous clap further triggered the sound meter, leading to a humorous moment as PK celebrated with a dance, convincing Ethan to pardon the infraction yet again.
Subsequent Challenges and Rule Violations
The next challenge involved Jason and Cinna, who were to transfer liquid between two tanks while withstanding electric shocks. Although they succeeded, Mandi inadvertently spoke, incurring another penalty.
“You did very well in the challenge. I gotta give it to you guys. Well done. However, Mandi, I’m going to deduct £20,000 from the pot for 2 violations. Clear and obvious,”Ethan declared.
Patrice and Mandi followed, taking on a task to snap elastic bands on each other’s calves while holding a squawking chicken toy. Even as Patrice remained silent, Mandi’s reactions were quite vocal, prompting Ethan to impose another financial deduction after more sound violations were triggered by their fellow contestants.
Pie-Throwing Chaos and Final Challenge
“They must read the card under the pie, and then pie who they think it most relates to,”explained Sidemen member Tobi, the game’s narrator.
Next, the pie-throwing commenced with Farah tagging Milli as the “fakest”person, followed by other revelations as participants strategically targeted each other based on interactive prompts. George, however, took his defiance too far by hurling a pie at Ethan, which drew a stern reaction:
“This one will be taken to VAR. We’re possibly looking at a five-match ban. Serious intent of foul play,”Ethan commented gravely.
This led to another £20,000 deduction from the prize pool. For the final challenge, Mya faced an unexpected twist by lying still while experts placed snakes on her body. In a show of resilience, her performance was deemed commendable, earning her a shop token redeemable at any point.
