Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: A Guide to Solving the Chamber of Resonance Puzzle

In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, players encounter one of the most challenging puzzles during the Gizeh chapter, known as the Resonance Chamber. This segment falls under the main quest “The Idol of Ra,”where a deep understanding of various game mechanics, coupled with keen observational skills, is essential. Since the game’s release, this puzzle has perplexed many, even those adept at navigating the adventure, often feeling overwhelmingly difficult despite the photographic clues provided by Indy.

As “The Idol of Ra”is a crucial part of the storyline, players cannot overlook the Resonance Chamber. To access it, you must search through the Khafre dig site, where you’ll eventually discover a hidden entry at the base of a pyramid. You’ll need to break through this entrance using a sledgehammer. Inside the Resonance Chamber, you’ll immediately notice three statues and four tablets—the key elements for solving this intricate puzzle. Let’s dive into how to tackle the challenges within this chamber.

How to Photograph the Tablets

Third Adamic Tablet
First Adamic Tablet
Fourth Adamic Tablet
Second Adamic Tablet

Begin by carefully surveying the Resonance Chamber. Indy will likely comment on the tablets displayed on the walls, which are inscribed in the Adamic language. To advance in the quest, photographing these Adamic tablets is crucial. Start with the four that are immediately visible in the chamber, as depicted above.

When taking your photos, aim to position the caption correctly above the frame for the best shot. Indy will provide feedback on the images, and successfully capturing them will earn you Adventure Points.

Be aware of the broken tablet among the collection—this will be addressed later. After capturing the tablet images, you’ll be prompted to consult Laura’s Journal, which reveals a cutscene and transitions you to the next phase of the quest.

As Indy documents the tablets, he will read their inscriptions aloud, prompting a small opening to appear in the wall next to the first tablet. Crawl through this gap to discover a dimly lit hallway. On your left, you’ll find two additional tablets; illuminate the brazier underneath each to ensure proper lighting for your photographs.

At the hallway’s end, you’ll locate the missing fragment of the broken tablet. Collect the staff nearby and use it to break through the cracked wall to your right. Retrieve the tablet piece and return to the main room housing the three statues, placing the broken piece in its rightful spot and taking an additional photo of the restored tablet.

By now, you should have photographs of all six tablets beneath the Gizeh pyramid and be back in the primary chamber. Indy might comment on the progress made. If there’s a lull and he appears unable to advance the quest, consider taking more photos of the tablets as it can sometimes be tricky to align them correctly for the quest’s algorithm.

Your objective is to assemble these six Adamic fragments into a logical sequence, creating one or two coherent sentences. Successfully clicking each in the proper order will cause one of the holes in the pedestal to start leaking sand. While you can resort to trial and error, the most efficient solution is:

“Heed the Lord’s oath. Protect the secret of the name.”

To achieve this, interact with the photos in the following sequence: 2, 1, 4, 6, 3, and 5. Thankfully, the construction of Adamic mirrors English, making it easier for players. Completing this puzzle will trigger the sand flow beneath Indy, leading him down a slide to his next adventure in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: the Chamber of Light.
