Level-5 has officially announced that Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will be available on August 21 across PC and console platforms. The franchise gained significant popularity starting with its Nintendo DS debut in 2008 in Japan, followed by a Western release in 2014. Since then, there have been various titles, with Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road poised to be the next exciting chapter.
This franchise is renowned for blending elements of sports anime with fantastical gameplay, described as “soccer meets Dragon Ball Z.” The narrative revolves around Mamoru Endo, a young goalkeeper on a quest to form a dynamic team at Raimon Jr. High, as he encounters formidable opponents throughout his journey. Alongside Endo, beloved characters like Shuuja Gouenji and Yuuto Kidou have also become fan favorites. After a notable hiatus, the Inazuma Eleven series is making a triumphant return.
In anticipation of the release, Level-5 unveiled a new promotional video that showcases gameplay mechanics, including exploration of the vibrant game world and interactions between the new protagonist and various characters. The trailer highlights soccer matches, challenges such as kicking a ball through obstacles, and features reminiscent of a skill tree, along with the signature flashy attacks that fans adore. The upcoming game will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
