IDW Publishing Taps into Scrolling Digital Comics with Webtoon Partnership
IDW Publishing, a prominent name in the indie comic book world, is stepping into the realm of scrolling digital comics. The publisher has teamed up with Webtoon Entertainment, a leader in the mobile webcomic industry, to introduce some of their most beloved series to Webtoon’s platform.
First Titles Set to Launch
Beginning April 25, fans can look forward to webcomic adaptations of several IDW titles, including:

- Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees
- They Called Us Enemy by George Takei

Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, crafted by filmmaker and artist Patrick Horvath, is a unique tale that intertwines the whimsical world of Richard Scarry with a darker narrative. Featuring a small-town bear leading a double life as both a hardware store owner and a serial killer, this graphic novel was recognized as one of the best comics of 2024 by The Hollywood Reporter.
Lastly, They Called Us Enemy presents a poignant memoir by George Takei, known for his role as Sulu in the classic Star Trek series. Takei reflects on his childhood experiences in American internment camps during World War II, addressing crucial themes such as courage, patriotism, loyalty, and love.
