On March 18th, Hyeri posted a long letter on her Instagram account apologizing for her controversial Instagram Story after the dating rumor of her ex-boyfriend Ryu Jun-yeol and actress Han So-hee broke out.
The actress started the letter by saying, “Hello. This is Hyeri. First of all, I sincerely apologize for causing speculations and controversies to arise with the post expressing my personal feelings a few days ago” , adding “I failed to think about how my small actions could bring about such big issues. I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been hurt by my doing” .
Regarding her breakup with Ryu Jun-yeol, Hyeri explained, “In November last year, the article about the end of my 8-year relationship was reported. We didn’t up with the decision after a short consideration, and even after announcing our breakup in the news, we still talked to each other more” , adding “However, since that conversation, we have never contacted or met each other again” .
She continued, “I believe that the feelings arising in me upon hearing the recent news after 4 months was what I felt as Lee Hye-ri, not as actress Lee Hye-ri” , adding “Once again, I’m sorry for causing damage with my emotions at that moment” .
Hyeri shared, “In fact, I haven’t been able to explain my actions during the past few days because our conversation was too private and I believed it would make me feel much more tired. If this confused anyone, I would like to apologize for that” , then ended her letter by saying, “From now on, I will be more careful about my words and actions. I’ll delete this post soon. Thank you” .
