Wish is the latest movie from the House of Mouse, but we all want to know when it’s coming to Disney Plus, so here’s all you need to know about that home release.
There was a time when Disney and Pixar simply couldn’t miss, but new releases like Turning Red, Strange World, and Elemental have all struggled upon their release in the last couple of years.
As part of Disney’s big centennial celebration, Wish had a fair bit of pressure to succeed and bring back the glory days. Sadly, it didn’t manage to hit those highs, and Asha’s story dragged in a Rotten Tomatoes average of just 48% upon release.
Still, better to judge for yourself, isn’t it?
When is Wish on Disney Plus?
Wish doesn’t have a Disney Plus release date right now, but we are confident it’ll hit the platform in April 2024.
We had previously assumed Wish would land in February or March, given its November 2023 release date, but the movie doesn’t feature among Disney’s release slate for the streaming service in February or March.
With this in mind, we expect Wish to be among April’s titles added to the platform, as Disney surely can’t make people wait longer than five months for the film.
The April release also makes sense given Wish is getting a physical release on March 12, 2024. Disney obviously wants to let the movie make some sales on Blu-ray and DVD before giving it away for free to subscribers.
Speaking of Disney Plus, here’s what we know about Welcome to Wrexham Season 3, Andor Season 2, and Frozen 3.
