The latest updates from the developers of Grow a Garden have introduced not only the Lunar Glow event but also the highly anticipated Blood Moon event. This exciting event is brimming with new features, including special crops, pets, gear, and intriguing mutations.
While many items from this event may only be available for a limited time, the mutations will remain a permanent addition to your gameplay. Among the newest mutations are Bloodlit, Celestial, Zombified, and Disco, which significantly enhance the value of your crops, making them notably more profitable than before.
Complete List of Blood Moon Event Mutations in Grow a Garden

Below, you’ll find detailed descriptions of each mutation from the Blood Moon event and the steps to acquire them during your gameplay in Grow a Garden:
Acquiring Bloodlit Fruit in Grow a Garden
The Bloodlit mutation is central to the event, though it is not permanent. When crops obtain this mutation, they become four times more valuable. To experience the Bloodlit transformation, you must wait for the Blood Moon event, which has an approximate 33% chance of occurring during night cycles.
During the event, when your crops gain the Bloodlit mutation, they will exhibit a striking blood-red glow. To maximize your chances of obtaining this mutation, utilize a Night Staff to trigger it when the event is active.
Acquiring Celestial Fruit in Grow a Garden
In contrast to Bloodlit, the Celestial mutation is a permanent addition, available for cultivation as long as specific conditions are met. This mutation enables your plants to sell for 120 times their original price.
To achieve the Celestial mutation, wait for a Meteor Shower to occur at night. If a fallen star touches your fruit, it could evolve into a Celestial variant. Furthermore, employing a Star Caller can help focus on a certain area of your farm to increase your chances. Be sure to stock up on this tool from the Event Shop, as it may not return once the event concludes.
Acquiring Disco Fruit in Grow a Garden

The Disco mutation has asserted itself as the most lucrative in the game, significantly outperforming the Rainbow and Shocked mutations, as it can make your crops 125 times more valuable. This means that even the least expensive fruits can be converted into substantial profits.
To obtain the Disco mutation, you must await the arrival of Disco weather, a unique phenomenon exclusively triggered by the developer, Jandel. When activated, players’ characters will dance to “Raining Tacos”by Parry Gripp while crops flash through a vibrant spectrum of rainbow colors.
Acquiring Zombified Fruit in Grow a Garden

To obtain the Zombified mutation in Grow a Garden, you need to keep the Chicken Zombie on your plot. This will transform your fruits into this distinctive variant, increasing their value by 25 times.
Unfortunately, the Chicken Zombie was only available during the initial launch of the Blood Moon event. However, players can still acquire it through trade with others, typically exchanging it for mutated fruits or alternative pets.
