How to Break Amber in Revenge of the Savage Planet

Revenge of the Savage Planet offers players an evolving gameplay experience, unlocking various tools and equipment as they navigate through multiple planets. Essential for thorough exploration, these tools empower players to tackle planet-wide obstacles. One notable challenge is the presence of amber—a viscous yellow substance found in various locations. Conventional weapons, including firearms and explosives, prove ineffective against amber, necessitating the use of specialized Blight Bombs to remove it.

Blight Bombs are essential for breaking through amber deposits found across all planets in Revenge of the Savage Planet. Unlike the conventional Bombegranates, Blight Bombs possess an acidic property that allows them to effectively dissolve amber and defeat most adversaries in a single throw. While these bombs can be acquired on nearly every planet, they are particularly abundant in Quasadron IX.

Upon collecting a Blight Bomb, players activate a six-second countdown, after which the bomb will deactivate without causing harm to the character. When thrown at amber deposits, Blight Bombs will disintegrate the substance, exposing hidden areas within the environment. This includes important resources and pathways, as well as critical components needed for repairing the Rusty Javelin.

To address the limitation of the six-second timer on Blight Bombs, players can unlock the Blight Bomb Stabilizer upgrade. This enhancement allows for the storage of bombs in your inventory, enabling their use at discretion. Accessing this upgrade requires players to travel to Quasadron IX and complete the quest titled, “The Lower PH The Better.”

The quest initiates at the designated map marker, where players will need to capture an Alpha Sluggator. To uncover this rare creature, break the soft ground located centrally in the area. It is advisable to eliminate surrounding Sluggators first to facilitate a more efficient capture. Aim carefully at the Alpha Sluggator’s weak point on its head to incapacitate it, and employ your whip to secure the creature and return it to the habitat on Stellaris Prime.

Once you successfully return to your base, conduct research on the Alpha Sluggator to unlock the Blight Bomb Stabilizer upgrade, which requires resources valued at 425 Aluminum, 550 Carbon, and 375 Silicon.
