As a distinguished 5-star Quantum Remembrance character, Castorice is poised to become a leading DPS in various team compositions. Emerging as an Amphoreus Chrysos Heir, her narrative involvement with themes of death and rebirth has captivated players and generated significant discussion regarding her role in the game.

Let’s delve deeper into her abilities, including her skills, talents, and Memosprite interactions.

Skills Breakdown

Skill

When activated, Castorice’s Skill consumes a portion of HP from her teammates, enabling her to deal Quantum damage to selected enemies.

Talent

Castorice’s unique Talent allows her to accumulate Newbud points whenever her allies lose or gain HP. Once her Newbud points reach capacity, she can unleash her powerful Ultimate ability. Furthermore, her attacks and those of her Memosprite are amplified when teammates lose HP. It’s important to note that while the Memosprite is active, Castorice cannot accrue additional Newbud points; any HP changes will instead bolster the Memosprite’s health.

Moreover, having Castorice in the roster (even if not actively participating in the team) grants a safeguard to teammates, preventing instant death as long as they receive healing or shielding in the subsequent turn.

Ultimate Ability

By activating her Ultimate, Castorice summons her Memosprite, Netherwing, while instantly advancing its action. She also establishes an area called “Lost Netherland,”reducing the overall resistance of all enemies within. Once Netherwing is summoned, allied characters enjoy enhanced damage output for a set number of turns.

Memosprite Skills

Netherwing, her Memosprite, features two distinct skills. The first allows it to inflict Quantum damage based on Castorice’s maximum HP, while the second enables it to sacrifice some of its own HP to deliver multiple Quantum damage instances to enemies.

Memosprite Talent

When Netherwing is in play, if a teammate’s HP falls to 1, the Memosprite will expend 500% of its HP to deal damage to enemies. Additionally, when Netherwing departs the field, it unleashes six instances of Quantum damage to surrounding foes and restores a percentage of HP to all allies, scaled from Castorice’s max HP.

Optimal Playstyle for Castorice

Given that Castorice’s combat style revolves around her Memosprite, adeptly managing and keeping Netherwing on the battlefield is essential for maximizing her damage output. Here are key strategies to enhance your gameplay experience with this 5-star unit:

  • Utilize Netherwing’s abilities strategically: allow it to act naturally by using Skill #1, or expend all of its HP in one explosive move using Skill #2 for significant damage to enemies.
  • If you pair Castorice with Tribbie, you can safely trigger Netherwing’s “explosion,”ensuring rapid generation of her Ultimate through consistent team HP dynamics.
  • Before Netherwing takes its turn, ensure you stack as many buffs as possible on Castorice, particularly if you plan to ‘explode’ the Memosprite.
  • Maximize the damage potential by funneling more HP to Netherwing; this means pairing Castorice with effective healers who can maintain your team’s overall health (Gallagher is an excellent free-to-play option).
  • For prolonged battles, allowing Netherwing to act in its regular turn order may provide consistent damage output, although this approach can elongate engagements. Conversely, instantly ‘exploding’ it will yield high burst damage but requires robust healing to support the ongoing HP depletion.
