Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans: Rumors & everything we know

With Hogwarts Legacy now gracing all platforms, the community is buzzing with speculation about potential DLC. Here’s the latest on any upcoming content additions to Avalanche Software’s magical rendition of the wizarding world.

Despite the game‘s expansive universe, the desire for more content is strong among fans, particularly those who have mastered the main storyline and all achievements.

With lots of spells to learn, magical creatures, to find, and iconic locations to visit, there’s a lot of potential for DLC which could expand the game’s story further and add more exciting environments for players to explore.

Hogwarts Legacy DLC plans could be announced in the future.

No, there are currently no plans for any Hogwarts Legacy DLC. This news was announced at IGN Fan Fest, where Hogwarts Legacy game director Alan Tew gave the following statement:

“We’ve been really heads down bringing [Hogwarts Legacy] to life, so at the moment there are no current plans for DLC.”

While this news will likely come as a disappointment to those who have completed the game, that doesn’t mean Hogwarts Legacy won’t feature a DLC in the future.

The future of Hogwarts Legacy

One of the main points of contention among fans is that Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t feature Quidditch. While Witches and Wizards can fly around on a broomstick, they can’t take part in the popular sport.

Future Hogwarts Legacy DLC or even a sequel could add the fan-favorite sport to the game, which would make for some great side content outside of dungeon crawling and overworld exploration. One leaker even notes how Hogwarts Legacy’s map size was cut by nearly a quarter, with the Highlands and Swamp being removed.

The leaker revealed that both these locations could be potentially added as part of the game’s expansion or a continuation. Of course, like all leaks and rumors, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
