HasanAbi Addresses Claims of Misrepresentation Regarding Airport Detention
The popular Twitch streamer, Hasan “HasanAbi”Piker, has publicly addressed accusations surrounding his recent detention at an airport, which he described as a troubling experience. On May 11, 2025, HasanAbi reported that he faced “additional questioning”by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) upon returning to the U.S. from France. During a live broadcast on his Just Chatting segment, he shared that the questioning delved into his political opinions.
However, this claim was contested by fellow content creators Steven “Destiny”and Daniel “Dan”Saltman on May 15, 2025. They alleged that HasanAbi’s CBP detention was significantly shorter than he described, suggesting it lasted no longer than 30 minutes.
HasanAbi’s Reaction to Skepticism
During a Twitch stream on the same day, HasanAbi became aware of a viewer’s accusation that he was dishonest regarding the circumstances of his airport detention. The viewer expressed discontent, stating:
“I’m sad about the damage you’ve done to your cause. Palestine’s cause by your lies about your detention at the airport.”
In response, HasanAbi expressed disbelief over the denial of the situation, stating:
“Dude, a denial of reality is so f**king funny in this circumstance, because like, the Department of Homeland Security came out and admitted that it took place. And these motherf**kers still are like, ‘Nah! They’re just lying about that, too.’ Everyone’s lying, except you know who’s not lying? My favorite content creator.”
Additionally, he addressed criticisms regarding his stance on global issues by remarking:
“Also, why the f**k would I guide you away from being anti-genocide? You know what I mean? What the f**k kinda… I can be the most repulsive person on the planet, that still shouldn’t change your opinion on what Israel is doing. Are you that much of a f**king spineless individual? No moral compass whatsoever?”
Dissecting the Claims: Dan Saltman’s Perspective
In a recent episode of their podcast, “Anything Else?”, Dan Saltman and Destiny presented a diagram to illustrate HasanAbi’s online activities during the time of his airport detention. They visually analyzed and dissected the timeline of events, aiming to debunk his narrative.

Dan Saltman accused HasanAbi of fabricating his account of the CBP incident, stating on X:
“Hasan has completed fabricated his entire experience with the customs and border patrol. Not a single part of it is likely true. Big concern that the mainstream press does zero fact checking on any of this whatsoever. Sad!”
In related news, HasanAbi recently took to social media to challenge Zack “Asmongold”regarding claims made about his journalist status.
