The Interstellar Enigma quest does not become available until you reach the latter stages of the main narrative. This pivotal moment is instigated by your interactions with Slappi, who drops his playful facade and takes on a more serious role as you approach the game’s finale. He guides you on a mission to locate five ancient shrine trials across various planets, each housing a fragment of the Pentaforce. Here’s where to find them:

  • Shrine of Timing: Situated to the west of the Habitat Base on Stellaris Prime, atop a cliff-surrounded hill.
  • Shrine of Pressure: Located within the Cliffs of Abaddon, also on Stellaris Prime.
  • Shrine of Grind: Found near the Cactus Pools on Xephyr.
  • Shrine of Combat: This shrine is in the underwater area of Bilodeau’s Floating Isle, nestled in the Zenithian Rift.
  • Shrine of Challenge: Unlocked after conquering the first four shrines; this final shrine entails battling the formidable Cyber Wardrill.

Upon completing this task, you will gain a new research perk related to the Pentaforce. Activating this perk will pave the way for you to travel to Slappi’s Den of Fun. Once this location is accessible, engage with the Planet Cannon to launch your character directly to this hidden realm.

The culmination of your exploration leads to an intense boss battle against Mecha Slappi. In this final showdown, Slappi pilots the robot and puts up a tough fight. Once you successfully defeat him, one of the game’s ending cutscenes will unlock, bringing closure to this part of your adventure.
