The Temporal Sanctum stands as the inaugural dungeon introduced in Last Epoch, showcasing a distinctive mechanic that requires players to navigate through multiple timelines to uncover different sections of the map. While the concept appears intriguing, first-time access can be quite intricate as it demands significant timeline navigation.
Nonetheless, the Temporal Sanctum ranks as one of the most rewarding experiences in the game. In this guide, we will outline the essential steps to locate and enter this captivating dungeon.
How to Access the Temporal Sanctum in Last Epoch
To embark on this adventure, players must travel to the Ruined Era, specifically to the Ruined Coast. This area becomes visible early in the campaign, but players must progress substantially to gain access.

The Ruined Coast can only be reached by traversing through a Time Rift>. To access this rift, players must reach the Shining Coast of Maj’Elka during the Imperial Era. Once there, players must interact with the Time Rift, which will transport them directly to the Ruined Coast.

Upon arrival at the Ruined Coast, you will need to defeat the area boss, Ortra’ek the Survivor. Once he is vanquished, you can utilize a Temporal Sanctum Key to gain entry into the dungeon.
Rewards for Conquering the Temporal Sanctum
Completing the Temporal Sanctum not only offers a sense of accomplishment but also provides a variety of rewards akin to other game activities. These rewards typically encompass valuable items, including Exalted gear, Glyphs, Runes, and Idols, which are dependent on the difficulty level you choose.

The apex of this dungeon features a confrontation with the final boss, Chronomancer Julra, who drops exclusive Unique items. The items obtainable from Julra include:
- Julra’s Stardial (Unique Ring)
- Somnia (Unique Helmet)
- Julra’s Obsession (Unique Gloves)
- Vessel of Strife (Unique Relic)
Above all, the most significant reward lies in the capability to craft Legendary gear. This powerful equipment comes with additional affixes that can only be created using the Eternity Cache, which becomes accessible post-defeating Julra.
The Eternity Cache allows players to merge a Unique item with an Exalted version of the same base to create a Legendary item. It is crucial to note that the Unique item must possess Legendary Potential to successfully carry out this crafting process.
