Understanding the Sword of Kings
The Sword of Kings ranks as one of the most formidable weapons in Dragon Quest 3 Remake. To forge this powerful sword, you will need to gather three distinct items:
- Broken Blade: Found within Cantlin.
- Orichalcum: Located in Damdara.
- Forge Hammer: Hidden in Jipang.

Finding the Broken Blade in Cantlin
Your adventure begins in Cantlin, where you should head to a building on the western side of town. Ascend the stairs to find the Broken Blade shimmering on a desk in the northwest room. A conversation with the inventor present will allow you to claim the blade.
This discussion will also introduce you to the swordsmith in Kol, setting the stage for your next steps. With the Broken Blade in hand, your next stop is Damdara, located in the southwest region of Alefgard.
Acquiring Orichalcum in Damdara
The next essential item is Orichalcum, found in Damdara’s stables. Head to the southeastern area of the town, where you’ll notice an open field for horses. Within the pen, look for a sparkling spot on the ground and interact with it to collect the Orichalcum.
Finding the Forge Hammer in Jipang
The swordsmith will direct you to retrieve his Forge Hammer from Jipang. Navigate to the northwest corner of Jipang and enter the house there. Inside, search the southwestern corner for a sparkling pot—interact with it to uncover the Forge Hammer.
With all three items now in your possession, it’s time to return to the swordsmith in Kol to complete the quest.
Crafting the Sword of Kings in Kol
Your final destination is the small village of Kol, situated in the northeastern section of Alefgard. Enter the building and ascend to find the swordsmith at his anvil. Present him with the Broken Blade, Orichalcum, and Forge Hammer. He will skillfully forge the illustrious Sword of Kings, granting you access to one of the most powerful weapons available in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
